Quota

This document guides the quota information for the Kakao Developers.

Quotas are counted as either the number of requests or data throughput, depending on the usage of the App. Some APIs are restricted in terms of request or quota depending on permissions. The quota information can be found below.

  • App's current quotas: [My Applications] > [Statistics] > [Quotas]
  • Requesting a quota increase or permission: [Concepts document in the applicable API] > [Usage policy]

Rate limits

  • Number of tokens that can be issued via the Get token API and the Refresh token API (per user)
  • Access tokens: 20 tokens per 10 minutes
  • Refresh tokens: 30 tokens per 60 minutes

Additional quota usage price

The list of API-specific unit prices charged when Paid APIs are applied.

API calls that use additional quota are not deducted from the free monthly quota.

Price information
  • From February 2 to December 31, 2026, 10 KRW per call is applied with an 80% discount.
  • After the benefit period, the price may revert to the regular price (50 KRW per call) or change according to the policy at that time.
  • Any price changes will be announced at least one month in advance.
  • For high-volume usage, contact us via DevTalk.
