This document provides information about the statistics features of Kakao Developers.

You can check Kakao API usage statistics in [Statistics] of the app management page. Only members of the app can view statistics, and you can also check statistics data of other apps you participate in as a member by clicking [Switch App].

Kakao Developers provides the following statistics data for each app.

The statistics page provides the following features.

You can hide or display data for selected targets by selecting them in the graph legend area.

When you click the menu icon in the top right of the graph, you can use the following features.

  • Select All/Deselect All: Toggles data display by selecting or deselecting all legends in the graph.
  • Full screen: Expands the statistics graph to full screen.
  • PNG Download: Downloads the currently visible statistics graph as an image file.
  • CSV Download: Downloads the currently visible statistics graph as a CSV file.

In [Statistics] > [Periodic Usage] of the app management page, you can check API statistics called by your app over a specific period.

Statistics data for the last 15 days, 30 days, and 90 days are provided. When you select a query period at the top, it applies to all sub-graphs.

  • Total API calls: Number of successful and failed calls for all APIs called by the app.
  • Successful API calls
  • Failed API calls

In [Statistics] > [Real-time Usage] of the app management page, real-time usage statistics for APIs called by your app are provided. When the [Auto Refresh] option is enabled, data is updated every minute.

Key metrics aggregated based on data from the last 10 minutes are provided.

  • Successful calls: Number of successful API calls in the last 10 minutes.
  • Failed calls: Number of failed API calls in the last 10 minutes.
  • Maximum response time: Maximum API response time measured in the last 10 minutes.

The number of successful API calls is provided. You can view data for the last 1 hour, 3 hours, 6 hours, 24 hours, 48 hours, or 3 days. The selected query period applies to all graphs.

  • API calls by category: Total successful calls classified by category.
  • Calls by API: Successful calls for each API in the selected category.

The number of failed API calls is provided. You can view data for the last 1 hour, 3 hours, 6 hours, 24 hours, 48 hours, or 3 days. The selected query period applies to all graphs.

  • API calls by category: Total failed calls classified by category.
  • Error metrics by API:
    • Error rate by API: Displays the ratio of successful to failed calls for the selected API as a graph.
    • Error codes by API: Displays the number of calls for each error code of the selected API as a graph.

API response time status is provided. You can view data for the last 1 hour, 3 hours, 6 hours, 24 hours, 48 hours, or 3 days.

  • Response time by API: Maximum, average, and minimum response times for the selected API.

In [Statistics] > [Quota] of the app management page, you can check monthly and daily quotas and usage for each API.

  • Monthly quota usage: Monthly usage and maximum monthly quota for the last 3 months.
  • Daily quota usage: Daily usage and maximum daily quota for each API over the last 3 days.

In [Statistics] > [Paid Usage] of the app management page, you can check the number of calls for paid APIs this month and periodic call counts.

The following statistics data for the last 15 days, 30 days, and 90 days are provided. When you select a query period at the top, it applies to all sub-graphs.

  • Number of paid calls
  • Number of successful paid calls
  • Number of failed paid calls
  • Number of free calls

It provides usage statistics for major products.

In [Product Usage] > [Kakao Login] of the app management page, you can check activity-based statistics for Kakao Login users.

  • All users until yesterday: Total number of users who signed up for the service by midnight yesterday.
  • New users yesterday: Number of new users who signed up for the service yesterday.
  • Users who logged in last month: Number of users who logged into the app via Kakao Login last month (monthly active login users).
  • Users who logged in yesterday: Number of users who logged into the app via Kakao Login yesterday.
  • The rate of email verification among users received through the Retrieve user information API: Number of users verified by email, number of users with is_email_verified=true when calling the Retrieve user information API.

Statistics data for the last 15 days, 30 days, and 90 days are provided.

  • Users who logged in with Kakao Account: Number of users who logged into the app via Kakao Login.
  • New sign-ups: Number of new users who signed up (connected) to the app via Kakao Login.
  • Users who unlinked from the app: Number of users whose connection to the app was removed via the Unlink API.

In [Product Usage] > [Kakao Talk Share] of the app management page, usage statistics for the Kakao Talk Share API are provided.

Key metrics aggregated based on yesterday's data are provided.

  • Share count: Number of shares via the Kakao Talk Share API yesterday.
  • Number of users: Number of users who used the Kakao Talk Share API yesterday.
  • Number of chatrooms shared to: Number of chatrooms shared to via the Kakao Talk Share API yesterday.

The number of Kakao Talk Share API calls is provided. Statistics data for the last 15 days, 30 days, 90 days, or a custom period are available.

  • Total calls: Total number of Kakao Talk Share API calls.
  • Successful calls: Number of successful Kakao Talk Share API calls.
  • Failed calls: Number of failed Kakao Talk Share API calls.

Usage patterns for the Kakao Talk Share API are provided. Statistics are aggregated based on yesterday's data.

  • Share count by user: Graph of the number of shares per user via the Kakao Talk Share API.
    • Once: 1 share
    • Fewer than 5 times: 2-4 shares
    • Fewer than 10 times: 5-9 shares
    • Fewer than 20 times: 10-19 shares
    • 20 times or more: 20 or more shares
  • Shared chatroom types: Graph of chatroom types shared to via the Kakao Talk Share API.
    • My Chatroom: Number of shares to the user's own chatroom.
    • 1:1 chatroom: Number of shares to 1:1 chatrooms.
    • Chatroom with fewer than 5 members: Number of shares to chatrooms with 2-4 members.
    • Chatroom with fewer than 10 members: Number of shares to chatrooms with 5-9 members.
    • Chatroom with fewer than 20 members: Number of shares to chatrooms with 10-19 members.
    • Chatroom with 20 or more members: Number of shares to chatrooms with 20 or more members.
    • Chatroom with unknown member count: Number of shares to chatrooms where the member count cannot be determined.
  • Most shared links: Top 10 most shared links from yesterday, displayed by rank.

In [Product Usage] > [Push Notification] of the app management page, usage statistics for the Push Notification API are provided.

  • Total amount sent yesterday: Number of APNs and FCM push notifications sent yesterday.
  • Push notifications sent: Number of successfully sent push messages by period (15-day, 30-day, and 90-day units).
  • User activity
    • Users who received push: Users who received push notifications sent via the Send Push Notification API.
    • Users who registered push token: Users who registered push tokens via the Register Push Token API.
    • Users who revoked push token: Users whose push tokens were deleted via the Revoke Push Token API.

Except for the Real-time Usage page, quota and product usage data are provided on an hourly basis. Data from less than an hour ago may not be reflected on the statistics page.

When all free API quotas are used up, [Monthly/Daily Free Quota Limit Reached] notifications are sent via email to app member accounts and Kakao Developers web notifications.
