This document introduces the development tools provided by Kakao Developers.

Kakao Developers provides useful development tools for integrating Kakao APIs.

Kakao Developers provides the following tools.

• Message Management Tools
  • Set message templates: Set message templates to send through the Kakao Talk Message API or Kakao Talk Share API in a UI.
• Testing Tools
  • REST API: Send API requests and check the results in a UI without using a terminal
  • JavaScript SDK: Preview features provided by the JavaScript SDK on a demo page
  • Webhook: Preview how webhook events are sent
• Operational Support Tools:
  • Manage Kakao Talk URL metadata: Check and reset OG tag metadata for URLs shared through Kakao Talk
• Design Resource Download: Get standard design resources, such as logos and buttons, for Kakao services

This tool provides a UI for configuring message templates to send through the Kakao Talk Message API or Kakao Talk Share API.

This tool allows you to send REST API requests and check the results in a UI instead of a terminal.

This tool allows you to try JavaScript SDK features in Kakao Developers.

You can test major SDK features, such as Kakao Login, Kakao Talk Share, adding a Kakao Talk Channel, and Kakao Navi, and check implementation examples.

This tool allows you to check and, if necessary, reset the OG(Open Graph) tag metadata of URLs shared in Kakao Talk chats.

If the scrap preview displayed when sharing a URL differs from the intended content, reset the cached OG tag metadata to apply the latest information.

You can manage the metadata of the following URLs.

• URLs included in scrap messages sent through the Kakao Talk Message API or Kakao Talk Share API.
• URLs shared through Kakao Story.

You can check the OG tag metadata configured for a URL and preview how it appears in a Kakao Talk chat.

1. Select [Tools] > [Manage Kakao Talk URL metadata].
2. Enter the URL in [Enter URL].
3. Select [View metadata] to check the URL's OG tag metadata.
4. Check the URL's OG tags under [URL information].
   • [URL information]: Displays OG tags configured for the URL, such as og:title, og:description, and og:image.
   • [Share preview]: Previews the scrap message displayed when the URL is shared in a Kakao Talk chat.

After changing a URL's OG tags, reset the scrap preview information cached on the Kakao server to apply the changes to future shares. Use this feature when the scrap preview displays previous information or when the Kakao Talk share cache needs to be reset.

1. Select [Tools] > [Manage Kakao Talk URL metadata].
2. Enter the URL in [Enter URL].
3. Select [View metadata] to check the currently cached metadata.
4. Select [Reset cache] to reset the URL's OG tag metadata.
5. If required, select [View metadata] to check the updated metadata.

Webhook Test allows you to preview how events are sent to your service.

You can test Unlink, account status change, Kakao Talk Share, and Kakao Talk Channel webhooks. For details, see Webhook Test.

Kakao provides standard design resources in the recommended sizes and proportions.

You can download standard logos and button images for Kakao services. On the Tools page, select [Download all] to download all the resources below at once.
